What is matching transactions quickbooks for mac

My business only has a Mac, and it does not make sense for Macs not to be able to record orders as Invoices. Just to let you know, the Windows computer version and the Mac are both configured to the same set up for Quickbooks. This results in the inventory not being updated to reflect what was purchased and thus creates a discrepancy in the data. Instead of being recorded as a payment and an invoice, the orders are recorded as payment and deposit. But, if I am uploading the same IIF file on my Mac, the whole process is not the same. The transactions are recorded as payment and as an invoice, which triggers the inventory to be deduced based on the number of items bought per order etc. What is very interesting is that for someone that uses a Windows computer, the orders are uploaded correctly.
